About Us

 Founded in 2025, Imprint Glass is a collaborative studio practice by glass artists Margaret Couling and Ian MacInnis, bringing together their complementary skills and shared passion for contemporary glass. Both artists are graduates of Sheridan College’s Craft and Design program, where they developed a strong foundation in material exploration, technical excellence, and thoughtful design.

Imprint Glass represents the intersection of Ian MacInnis’s expertise in glassblowing and Margaret Couling’s refined approach to sandblasting and surface design. Through this collaboration, the artists create work that balances form and texture, transparency and depth. Each piece reflects a dialogue between process and surface, resulting in elegant, functional, and decorative art glass intended for everyday living spaces.

Rooted in craftsmanship and collaboration, Imprint Glass seeks to elevate the presence of hand-crafted glass in the home, celebrating the unique imprint of both the maker’s hand and the material itself.
